Author's Rights and Responsibilities
Author's Rights
Authors who submit their research to Aljadid Journal for Humanities enjoy the following rights:
- Retention of Copyrights: The author retains the copyright of their work and grants the journal a license to publish, whether under an open-access system or traditional publishing, according to the journal's policy.
- Archiving and Sharing: The author has the right to archive the submitted, accepted, or published version of the research in personal or institutional repositories. The author also has the right to share the research via academic networks, personal websites, or for educational purposes, provided Aljadid Journal is cited as the original source of publication.
- Recognition and Scientific Affiliation: The author receives full recognition for their work, and their scientific affiliation is preserved in all stages of publication.
- Reuse and Future Publication: The author has the right to reuse parts of their work (such as tables, figures, data) in future research, lectures, or derived projects, with a commitment to referring to the original publication in Aljadid Journal for Humanities.
- Right to Appeal and Correction: The author has the right to appeal peer-review or editorial decisions. The author also has the right to request the withdrawal or correction of the published work in the event of substantial errors or ethical issues that require it.
Author's Responsibilities
To ensure adherence to the highest standards of quality and academic integrity, authors must adhere to the following responsibilities:
- Originality and Absence of Plagiarism: The submitted work must be original and free from any form of plagiarism, with all sources accurately documented.
- Authorship Criteria: The status of "author" is granted only to those who have made a substantial contribution to the preparation, drafting, or critical revision and final approval of the research. Also, all authors must agree to submit the final version for publication.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: The author must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationship that might influence the results or interpretation of the research.
- Transparency in Data Presentation: The author must provide the data supporting the results when required and be prepared to make it available for editorial review or post-publication verification purposes.
- Accuracy and Scientific Integrity: Ensure the accuracy of the results presented in the research. If any error is discovered after submission or publication, the editorial board must be informed immediately.
- Commitment to Research Ethics: Research involving human participants or animal experiments must adhere to approved ethical standards and obtain the necessary approvals.
- No Multiple Submissions or Unjustified Duplication: The same research may not be submitted to more than one journal at the same time, and it is prohibited to republish previously published content without clear scientific justification and the approval of the concerned parties.
- Participation in the Scientific Peer-Review Process: Authors may be asked to contribute to the peer-review process of other research within their scientific specialization.
